Les Melanorosauridae constituent une famille fossile de dinosaures sauropodomorphes autrefois classé dans le sous-ordre aujourd'hui obsolète des prosauropodess. Le taxon des Melanorosauridae est peu utilisé dans les analyses cladistiques actuelles. Ils ont vécu du Trias supérieur au Jurassique inférieur.
