Étymologie lézard angoissant

Tarbosaurus est un genre fossile de dinosaures théropodes de la famille des tyrannosauridés et de la sous-famille des tyrannosaurinés. Il a vécu à la fin du Crétacé supérieur (Maastrichtien) il y a environ 71 à 66 Ma, dans l'actuelle Mongolie avec plusieurs fragments de fossiles retrouvés plus loin dans certaines régions de la Chine et de la Russie.
