Etymology Du Sanskrit ''Hayagriva'', ce dernier étant l’un des avatars du Dieu Hindou Vishnu, lequel arborait sous cette forme, une tête de cheval. Une allusion au crâne de ce dinosaure qui est allongé et ressemble grossièrement à celui d’un cheval, une allusion aussi aux nombreuses représentations de cette divinité dans l’art bouddhique Mongol.
