Étymologie seigneur du ciel

Cacibupteryx est un genre fossile de ptérosaures rhamphorhynchidés provenant de la formation de Jagua (d), datée de l’Oxfordien moyen à supérieur, située dans la Province de Pinar del Río à Cuba. Selon Paleobiology Database en 2025, le genre est resté monotypique et l'espèce type est Cacibupteryx caribensis.
